RE: Paradise Pointe Fifth Wheels

Mine has the hose already connected to winterize the trailer. It's connected the the water pump in the basement.

RE: Paradise Pointe new-used

If you search the internet you can still find some good deals on PP. We found ours in November last year. It was new and we love it. This is our second Crossroads product and have been very happy.

RE: The OBX Report

Has anyone stayed at this campground this year? I would like to visit it, but wanted a review before going or making reservations. Pictures of sites would be great.

RE: crossroads cruiser

Loved our 29RK Crossroads Cruiser and upgraded late last year for Paridise Pointe, another Crossroads product. Been very happy with both.

RE: Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta 2008

Having never stayed anywhere where I had to get "Pumped"... What is the charge for doing this... I have heard and seen it at NASCAR races in campground, but again have never had the 5er. Just curious... Thanks

RE: Camping with Kids around Virginia

New camper, I would recommned Bethpage in Urbanna. Great place with little kids with paddle boats and bring their fishing poles for some pond fishing. Super sites are nice, but pricey, and I would recommend a grass spot as they have you pull thru anyway. Not recommended with festival weekends.
Congrats on the new rig.

RE: Virginia Beach in September?

Forgot to mention the "Sounds of Freedom" at both CG. Low flying jets most of the day and into the evening. Some folks hate it, but I'm not one of them. Yes the first couple will get your attention, but it's awesome to see them flying so low you can see the pilots flying those things. Enjoy the "Sounds of Freedom".
Still highly recommended....

Both KOA and Trav-L-Park are recommended. Make reservations early as they both fill up.
Nice Festival, and hope to make it there myself.

RE: Amish experience, Ohio or Pennsylvania?

We visit Lancaster each year in April and love it. Less crowds and many shops are open for business. Peaceful time of the year, but have been with nice spring flowers and have been a few years with snow. April is a funny month for the weather in PA.
PLEASE DO NOT TAKE PICTURES... This is not a privacy issue, but if you learn more about the Amish folks, you would learn it is a religious act. They believe that a picture holds their soles and unlike a mirror that when they walk away their sole goes with them, in a picture it captures the soles and walks away. This is why they will quickly turn away from a camera. So please respect their wishes and DON'T TAKE PICTURES. The workings of the farms and horse and buggy's around town are awesome. Enjoy your visit to PA.

RE: CRUISER FIFTH WHEEL

I pulled a CF29RK for over two years with a Dodge 1500 (Hemi) with very little problems. It was hard on hills, but great on flat land. I have since upgraded the truck and trailer. On our second Crossroads product and loving it. Both have been great and believe in the Crossroads products.
You will love the CF29RK and have no problems with a 2500 pulling it.

RE: Disney (FL) Campground Opinions

We just returned from KOA Kissimmee and loved it. I would not recommend the super sites unless you plan to spend many hours at the CG. We did the parks and did not spend much time around the CG so the super sites were not worth the money this time. The CG is run top notch, and very friendly folks. I would just go for padded lot next time. Close enough to shopping, eating, and parks for me.

RE: Spare Tire pully problem

Make sure you check the working of the crank. Lost my spare tire in Florida a few weeks back going down the road. Posted on another subject. Going to put cable and lock on the next one.

RE: Campgrounds in or near Savannah

KOA Savannah is a nice campground (no fires). Just stayed there for two nights going and returning from FL. Easy in and out, but small lots if you plan to stay for a long time. Clean and friendly with nice lake and ducks. We had to unhook because pull thru were not long enough to stayed hooked.

RE: Virginia CG ?

Bethpage and Gray's Point are great campground and offer much for families. Not the cheapest in town, but worth it. Don't want to attend during a festival as they are packed in. Check their webpage for dates.
Rockahock is not recommend if kids are along. Rough folks show up on the weekend and only campground I have ever been that has FULL bar on site. They have some nice outside festivals, but would not recommend camping there.
American Heritage in Williamsburg is nice and recommended.
Never been to the others. That's the best I can do.

RE: Our new Cedar Creek 34 SATS

Nice rig and glad that Endless Summer did you right. We enjoyed working with them for our first Crossroads Cruiser. Wish they would have made a sweeter deal for second one, but we are very happy with our newest addition.

RE: Still like Crossroads Cruiser but Heartland Sundance nice.

On my second Crossroads product and love it.. Guess I have been very lucky that I have not had any issues with the products to test the warranty work. However, I have read many stories of how Crossroads has stood behind their products and have helped folks get their rigs back in working order.
